We offers a range of Fine Line Tattoo Training options, designed to support you in a professional, strategic and safe learning plan. With 10 years experience these programmes have been carefully put together, to offer in depth theory, along side practical skills in a practicable programme. Teaching you to work for yourself, so that you can offer a high quality and professional service. Fine Line Tattoo Training

What makes a good tattoo artist?

3 things are needed to become a successful fine line artist.
1 Drawing skills, so you can create artwork people will want on them.
2 Tattooing Skills, so you can proficiently place your artwork onto skin.
3 Business acumen, so you can market your tattoo skills and get skin to tattoo your designs onto!

Our course are holistically designed to touch on all aspects of tattooing, with a centre focus on the technical application, showing you how to create proficient, safe, high quality tattoos.

What type of tattooing will I learn?

Fine line tattooing means using small needle groupings to create your tattoos. Libby teaches fine line, black and grey tattooing, using 3 round liners and monotoned inks.

How will I learn ?

Students start by working through their theory coursework, via our online portal, progressing through lessons, demos, quizzes and exercises, Libby will set personal goals and tasks as you improve your knowledge, art skills, then students attend their in person training classes with Libby Wells, to work on practical skills where you will work on practice skin and live models, finally you progress onto the case study period, where you continue to hone your new skills, with Libby’s continued support you can progress at your own pace with your mentors guidance.

Virtual Training slot 3 hours taught by Libby Wells £495

Phase one – Online study
The course begins with access to our online portal, a modern and flexible learn programme, with over 30 lessons, demos, assessments, students work through our in depth learning programme over the 12 month access period.

Phase two – Virtual Training Slot
Join Libby for a 3 hour virtual lesson to discuss your techniques, and results, practice on latex together and asses the best next steps for improving your fine line tattooing.

Trainees must be professional tattoo artists, this is an advanced remote, lesson, not a qualification!

Advanced 1-2-1 Masterclass

1-2-1 Masterclass taught by Libby Wells £1500

Phase two – Virtual Masterclass’
Join Libby for your 2 x classes, where she will assess and support with your equipment set up, practical skills, all your questions together. Students complete a live model with Libby’s support and individual goals are set for students to work on.

Phase three – Case Studies
Students continue to progress their skills, submitting their designs and tattoos to their study group for feedback and support, support is provided for 1 year.
Student Requirements
Trainees must be accredited PMU artists already with machine experience, holding appropriate Licences and Insurance

This course is specifically designed for professional tattoo artists who want to better perfect their black and grey, fine line, tiny tattooing.

2 part process
Phase one – Confirm standard
First Libby will assess your current standard, training level. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire and assignments to submit to Libby before your class.

Phase two – In Person Masterclass’
Join Libby in a 1 day masterclass, to support with your equipment set up, practical skills, answer all your questions together. Students complete a live model with Libby’s support and individual goals are set for students to work on.

What to be a tattoo artist?

Begin Libby’s Foundation, Fine Line Tattooing Training programme. Beginners course to become a qualified fine line tattoo artist.

3 part programme

Phase one In Depth Theory and Practice
12 Modules, Over 60 Lessons delivered via the online portal, with assessments, tests and exercises to complete, expected time for completion 6 months.

Phase two In Person 1-2-1 Masterclasses
Workshops together with Libby Wells, to review and practice practical skills on live models.

Phase three Case Studies & Development
Case studies are completed by trainees in their workspace, all work is sent for review and feedback.

This is an accredited course, completion is expected to take between 6 months and 1 year.

The content of this course has been created piece by piece over several years by Libby Wells, she has deconstructed her techniques and reconstructed these into a modular formula to offer a uniquely strategic approach to learning how to create black and grey, fine line tattoos.

Libby believes in a holistic and detailed approach to learning, reflected in the wide array of topics covered, and in-depth theory supplied in this course.

5 x A-C GCSE grades including Art
Artists portfolio x 10 pieces

Students will be responsible for purchasing all tattoo equipment required and will need to their own premises arrangements.
Students will be required to attend in person masterclasses, arrangements to be confirmed upon application.
